Every artwork has a bit of history and this is no exception; but the story here is a little more sentimental. It was requested by and made for a family who have known me way before I ever considered creating art as my career. I am touched that they are so in love with my work and how our relationship has evolved over the last 20 years from acquaintance to basically family. I love these folks and appreciate how much they want me around they just needed a little reminder of my presence in their life everyday! Joking aside; went old school color blocking for the full effect and honestly the reality is better than the concept. Its always difficult creating anything for people you know personally, but the love here is real and the artwork will hopefully last as a reminder well after I’m gone!
